About Me

Hi, I'm Sam, and I am a guitar teacher living and working in New York City. I started playing the guitar when I was 9 years old, and thanks to a wonderful teacher, I have been playing ever since. I have played in many bands spanning a variety of genres, from punk to jazz. I believe that music lessons should center around the goals of the student, rather than the conventional goals of music education because music is a form of self expression that is different for everybody. I can teach both electric and acoustic guitar, and I have special experience in songwriting, pedals, and experimental genres. I also give band lessons to rock bands and bass and drum lessons for beginners.
