Hi, my name is Emily and I am a guitar player from Oak Park School of Rock. I have been a student of music for 1 year. My musical influences include Ghost, Proclaimers, Tracy Chapman, Rolling Stones, and more! an I also enjoy teaching myself new songs. My teaching style can best be described as hands on, full immersion. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I Struggle is the key to growth. In my lessons, you can expect to learn songs from Rock n Roll to 12 bar blues, learning how to read guitar tabs, and chords. I like to tell my students that the only way to learn music is to discover it. My favorite thing about teaching is watching my students thrive and grow as musicians. My favorite performance was at School of Rock with my band That's So Stephen. Hope to meet you soon!
