About Me

10+ years of experience teaching, mentoring and coaching children, adults and band mates in both Percussion and Vocals. As a lifelong musician, I am confident that I have the passion, skills and experience to help others pursue their dreams of musicianship, and help them discover the joy that playing music brings. •Beginner to advanced drum instruction and theory. Traditional techniques, rudiments. •Drum set, Congas, Timbales, Hand Percussion. •Cadence development for marching band. My teaching style is fun and highly interactive. I combine traditional structured fundamentals instruction with creative exercises and music play-along to keep students engaged.

What to expect in my Drum Lessons

Beginner -

Here we go! Quick discussion on interest and goals. Intro to 4 count. Drumsticks! A little music theory as it pertains to drums, and what we will need as far as basic equipment. Fun!

Advanced Band – Junior High and High School

Performing Experience:

•Drummer and/or percussionist for various bands – Latin, Classic Rock, Soul, R&B. •Lead Vocalist. •Lead Vocalist and Percussionist •Marching band, 1st chair, Snare Drum and Roto Toms. Local and regional competitions. •Concert band, 1st. chair, Snare Drum, Drum Set, Timpani, and Chimes (tubular bells). Local and regional competitions.
