Singer, songwriter, guitarist, and St. Louis native Cody Alan has been composing and performing original music since 2002. Growing up in St. Louis, Cody could not help absorbing the melting pot of blues, rock, and country music St. Louis has to offer. Cody cut his teeth at a young age performing with notable St. Louis acts such as The Soulard Blues Band, The Rockin’ Jake Band, and Elastic Soul. He has also performed at many of St. Louis’s best music venues such as Off Broadway, The Gramophone, Old Rock House, and The Pageant. In 2010 Cody released his first album with his reggae/rock band Team Relevance and then released his first acoustic solo EP in 2011.

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Beginners will enjoy learning foundational guitar nomenclature, technique, and exercises. After we discover your interests we will prepare your mind, ears, and hands for your own personal musical journey. Intermediate students will follow me on the wonderful path of fretboard logic, music theory and harmonic concepts specific to the guitar as well as your interests. We learn our favorite songs and begin to write our own. Advanced guitarists and songwriters: Show me what you got! I’d love to see what you are working on and find ways to improve your playing, performing, and writing. Having a writers block? I’m here to help! The harder you work at your music, the more you need to rely on musical mentors.
