My name is Gerry and I am 41 years old. I have been playing drums for 30 years and professionally since age 17. I have performed all around the world with various types of bands. I am comfortable playing and teaching many styles. I have taught many students drums throughout the years and now I also teach beginning guitar as well. I am a songwriter/guitar player and have come close to charting a song. I have only played guitar for 5 years. I currently play drums with a local band "Buzzcutt" and we are booked through December. I also fill in around town when I am able.
Gerard Ole.- has over 30 years of music experience in the Pensacola area.
Gerard Ole.- is proficient in and teaches .Formal Education:
Music Theory classes in college. Piano classes also.
Private Education:
Private lessons from a guitar instructor.
Performing Experience:
Performed in various styles of bands ranging from a circus band to touring rock bands. Played and recorded, rock, blues, country, jazz. Played in front of as many as 150,000 people. Last touring experience was with a band called Big Sky out of Gainesville, FL. Averaged 290 shows a year. Currently performing in Pensacola area with the band BuzzCutt.
Experience Teaching:
I have had drum students ranging from young children to adults for nearly 20 years. I recently began teaching beginning guitar and currently have two students. I have a very comfortable and patient teaching style that achieves results. I really enjoy laying out a lesson plan and seeing the student grow musically. I guide the student through what they need in order for them play what they want. I take pride in my efforts to see the student succeed.
