David began playing piano at the age of 4. Over the years, he developed his skills further by learning drums, guitar, bass guitar, songwriting, and record engineering. He gained performance experience throughout Arizona by playing at such venues as the Sedona Performing Arts Center, The Gaslight Theatre, The Marquee Theatre, McDowell Mountain Music Festival, and The Flagstaff Beer Festival, and in bands on the bill with acts such as Huey Lewis And The News, Warren Haynes, Berlin, Blues Traveler, Jon Butler Trio, and The Wailers. Though David can teach many different genres of music, his personal favorites are rock n roll, jazz, blues, Spanish guitar, gospel, and reggae which have all had a great influence on his style of playing. David loves music and loves teaching music to inspire the love of music in others. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, David can help you expand and enhance your playing. Performing Experience:
David has been a full time performing musician since the age of 16, and has performed in ensembles and as a soloist in every imaginable live music scenario including, bars/pubs, music clubs, music festivals, and studio recording sessions.
Experience Teaching:
David began teaching as a supplement to his other musical endeavors in his early twenties. He began teaching students of all ages who approached him for lessons at live gigs. More recently, David gave lessons and was a show director for The School Of Rock in Goodyear, AZ.
