About Me

My name is Clayton B. I'm a 28 year old musician from Escondido, CA. I have been playing guitar for 17 years. I would say my style of playing is very fluid and pride myself in having a wide range of tones. I grew up a huge fan of Tom Petty, Neil Young, and John Prine. In my recent years, have become a huge fan of artists like Kurt Vile, Courtney Barnett, Charley Crockett, and Ty Segall. I've played live music professionally for a little over 3 years doing solo sets around San Diego County. I have played bars, weddings, parties, and am currently also the lead guitarist in several local band as well. To me, there is nothing more satisfying than sitting down with my instrument and playing until I lose track of time. I would love the opportunity to help you grow your musical ability and passion for creating. I truly believe it is a gift to be shared.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate

Students can expect to learn the importance of fundamentals. My goal is to focus on important skillsets of playing that are important to strengthen early on in the learning process. I will still try to mantain a balance of teaching theory and having fun with the jamming process as well.

Escondido High School (c/o 2015) Palomar College

Performing Experience:

I have performed at dozens of venues and bars around San Diego county such as: Soda Bar, Til-Two Club, Whistle Stop, Kensington Club, Gonzo! Ramen Bar, Coomber Craft Wines, Hennessey's Tavern, Booze Brothers, Oceanside Pourhouse, Aztec Brewery, The Vibe, Oceanside Yacht Club, & more. I also have played private events such as parties and weddings, most recently at a wedding rehersal dinner in Anchorage, Alaska in July of '25.
