Hi, my name is Kate and I am a multi-instrumentalist who specializes in violin, guitar + looping, voice, and more! I have been a student of music for 17 years, starting with traditional Irish fiddle at the age of 5. My teaching style can best be described as fun/goal oriented. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I think anyone can learn any instrument. My approach as a teacher is to find something the student wants to learn and work at it! Whatever the task—we can tackle it together. Kate is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who has performed as a wedding violinist, a fiddler in a folk band, and more. In university, she studied Arts Management, Music Industry Studies, and French while also frequenting the local music scene as a performer. In 2021, she was the recipient of the Ensemble Award Scholarship for Voice from Loyola University New Orleans. Hope to see you in a lesson soon!
