Hi, my name is Theodore. I am a drummer, guitarist, and bassist from Ohio. I have been a student of music for 22 years. My musical influences include a wide variety of groups and artists and I also enjoy a large span of different genres. My teaching style can best be described as informative with an emphasis on playing for personal enjoyment. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe music is a vehicle that takes you through a multitude of places within your mind, emotions and life. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the fundamentals of rhythm and timing. How to navigate and understand essential music theory. Techniques and concepts to refine you skill but, above all, how to have fun and just play with the music. I like to tell my students if you're not playing and having fun then you're forcing music to comply. Music flows like water through the sonic space, andyou must flow with it, to be rigid only obstructs that flow. So, lighten up and just have fun with it. My favorite thing about teaching is being able to give another the tools they need to better themselves and refine their skills with concepts they can apply for themselves. I teach drums, guitar and bass guitar. My approach as a teacher is to give you the necessary tools to begin exploring the abundant expanse that is the world of music.
