About Me

Hi there! My name is Max. I am from Youngstown, Ohio! I achieved my Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from Malone University where I studied voice primarily and keyboard secondarily. I then went to Wake Forest University for my Master of Divinity degree where I continued to also study voice for the last 3 years and even performed a voice recital. I am a tenor who loves to make music with word art and cherishing the meaning of the piece of music. I have served on many worship teams at churches and am very passionate about helping others find their gifting in music. I look forward to working with you!

What to expect in my Vocal Lessons

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced

This will be shaped like a collegiate level voice lesson structure. I will test vocal range on first lesson to gain an understanding of the passagio of the voice, and then will move into warm-ups. Students will also have opportunities to learn music theory and aural skills elements through teaching. Repertoire will be chosen in tandem with the instructor based on voice and style of music.

Formal Education:

BA in Music from Malone University, 7 consecutive years of voice lessons.

Private Education:

Taught teenagers arts of singing and rhythmic elements. Worship teams at churches as well.

Performing Experience:

Performed 2 voice recitals worth 30 minutes and 60 minutes, prepared and memorized classical pieces in multiple languages. Also serves on worship teams in churches.
