My name is Zachary. I'm a 23 year old professional drummer based in Nashville, TN that has been playing and performing for 16 years. I moved to Nashville from New Hampshire at the age of 18 to pursue my dream of playing drums professionally. I am passionate about teaching those who want to share the dream I have. Whether you just picked up a pair of sticks, or have experience behind the kit, my knowledge and experience will help you in your musical journey. My lessons will focus on: Technique-Allowing you to move around the kit efficiently while maintaining the longevity of your body. Learning Songs-Approach any piece of music, decipher the drum parts, and how to practice the piece until you can properly and confidently play it. Reading Music-How to read musical notation, understand rhythmic notations, and how to read all types of drum charts. Creativity-How to express your personal style while incorporating rudiments, rhythms, and deeper musical concepts to create your own drum parts and solos. Performing-How to approach a show, quickly learn a setlist, communicate with other musicians, and confidently execute a performance under pressure. Gear Maintenance-How to care for your drums, how to tune, and how to make sure you sound the best you can with the gear you have.
