I grew up in the musically rich SF Bay area playing bass in a trio with my brothers(drums and guitar). Playing music together lots of alternative rock, classic rock, metal bands, Rush and primus were our particular favorites. Jamming was one of our favorite things to do and we became proficient at it. Over time i ventured into more challenging music progressive rock and metal and eventually jazz. Always learning something new and improving my skills i feel music is a lifelong journey.

Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Hello! I am happy to teach the fundamentals in terms of proper technique, ear training, theory or learning your favorite songs. I can also touch on more advanced topics. My expertise is in Rock/metal and Jazz but can also delve into Funk, Pop, Electronic and other styles.
Formal Education:
Mostly self taught with a few great teachers over the years. Continuously learning Jazz theory, transcribing and practicing many, many sets for my bands.
Private Education:
I've studied with some great teachers Michael Wilcox in the Berkeley, SF bay area learning theory and dipping my toe into jazz. Later more structured and deeper with Tony Grey and Rufus Philpot focusing on jazz studies and improvisation.
Performing Experience:
I've played in a number of bands growing up, releasing demos with my brothers and friends. I played based tech death band Sentient ignition and released an album.-toured with SF based black metal band "Botanist"-played with several SF bay area jazz ensembles. I also moved to Denver in 2020 and play with 2 touring Metal bands(Incinerate and cordyceps) I've played with local metalcore band "Surrender the ectype" I also play with a Denver local metal band Crotalus. I also have a solo Darksynth project called "Circadia Rift"
