Johnathan has always loved music from an early age. He began playing trumpet at the age of 11 and continued his education by attending The University of Southern Mississippi majoring in music education. His musical influences include Wynton Marsalis, Clifford Brown and Elmer Churampi. Johnathan's favorite thing about music is its ability to invoke emotion and his favorite thing about teaching music is growing next-generation musicians. One of his favorite teaching experiences was witnessing the excitement of one of my students qualifying for All-State band.
