Hi, I’m Doris, a violinist who’s been playing since I was 9 years old. With over a decade of experience in symphonic orchestra, duets, and quartets, I bring both structure and soul to the music I teach. I’ve had the joy of performing in full orchestras alongside bands, and even had the honor of sharing music in beautiful Hawaii. My style blends classical techniques with emotional expression, specializing in harmonic, meditative tones and the timeless world of Vivaldi and Bach. Whether you’re a total beginner or returning to the violin after time away, I create a gentle, grounding learning space where you can build confidence, develop your ear, and find your unique sound.

What to expect in my Orchestral Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Beginners should expect to be introduced to the violin on how to handle with care, Maintanence, and how to hold. We will go over posture and techniques such as bowing, plucking, tuning and harmonizing, as well as finger placement and fine tuning your ear. At the end of the 4 week lessons, you will be able to play for your family and loved ones! Expect homework to include practice for finger work, scales, and how to read music worksheets from Suzuki book 1. Intermediate students should expect scale familiarity, 1st and 3rd position transitions, vibrato, with different playing styles and techniques. Expect to strengthen confidence with bow control training while experimenting with different genres of sound. Finding your own preference of sound as well as finding a favorite concerto to perform for friends and family at the end of our 4 week lessons!
