Hi, my name is Deyon and I am a Professional Musician Drummer from Miami, Florida but I reside in Riverdale, Georgia.. I have been a student of music since I was 2 years old and I’m currently 28 years old. My musical influences include first and foremost my Dad, all different gospel drummers I’ve seen growing up in church, people my age like Josiah Maddox, Tony Taylor jr., and the list goes on! I also enjoy doing other things to connect with one another like skating and or just simply hanging out and having a good meal. In my lessons, im willing to teach any and everything dealing with drums or snare drum that you are willing to learn. We will focus on any areas that the student isn’t strong in, but also I would love for the student to want to go above and beyond what they feel like they want and can achieve! My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the work of my labors which basically is the results of all the teachings and lessons given to the students!. My students love that I can relate to what they are going thru outside of music and drums, and at the same time still get more than what they’ve expected to receive. I primarily teach drum on the drum set, but I can also teach snare drum rudiments and cadences. My objectives are to ALWAYS have fun first, teach students the basics on drums, make sure basic rudiments for their level are known and memorized, and to make sure some teachings are being applied in performances.
