Hi, my name is Lane! I am 21 years old and I have been playing guitar for over a decade already. I began when I was only in fifth grade after I convinced my mom and dad to get me a guitar. I grew up loving classic rock and heavy metal, and I still do to this day. I go to rock shows all the time and am very involved in the community, both online and in Knoxville. Now, I am in medical school, but I still keep myself very sharp and practice often. Some of my favorite bands are Metallica, Guns and Roses, and Avenged Sevenfold. I really like what they might call "Shred" guitar, and would be a great instructor for anyone who wants to learn that style. I also went to college for a year as a guitar major, so I am well equipped in music theory, classical style, chords and barre chords, scales, and songwriting.

1 year at Pellisippi Community College as a music major
Private Education:
Participated in the "school of rock" program, and received years of private lessons.
Performing Experience:
I have played shoes at the open chord, and with the Knoxville symphony orchestra. I am not currently performing due to school, but I do have experience doing so.
Experience Teaching:
I have mostly been a student up until now, but I have taught band mates and friends. I look forward to building experience with this job!
