About Me

Andres began playing electric bass at the age of eleven and the upright bass at the age of nineteen. Over the years, he developed his skills further by pursuing a bachelor's degree in jazz studies in University of North Florida, and a master's degree Florida State University. He gained performance experience in the Jacksonville, Tallahassee, and Miami areas with acts such as Tal Cohen, Tito Puente Jr., Nestor Torres, Leon Anderson, Kenny Hamilton, Ludwig Afonso, Bill Peterson, etc. Though Andres can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are jazz, funk, r&b, latin, rock, pop, and fusion which had great influence on his style of playing. Andres loves music because it's both a language and an art form that expresses the soul through rhythm, melody, and harmony and loves teaching music because he loves impacting students and relating music to life.
