Hi, my name is Isabela and I am a Musical Theater performer from Lima, Peru! I have been a student of music for 19 years. My musical influences include Hozier, Rosalia and Frank Ocean and I also enjoy some Flamenco and Latin Pop here and there. My teaching style can best be described as fun, understanding and effective. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I believe music talks when words can't, so we are becoming fluent in this new magical language of music! In my lessons, you can expect to learn your preferred instrument and we can pick repertoire together. I like to tell my students that music should be fun and an outlet. My favorite thing about teaching is connecting with the student, and building a relationship where we both feel comfortable and ready to learn. My favorite performance was when I played Sonya in Great Comet the musical. I got to sing, act, dance and play violin! My students love that I keep the energy light and joyful. I primarily teach voice, but I can also teach violin I've been playing since I was 5!.
