About Me

Hi, my name is Rocky and I am a vocalist/performer and artist manager from Austin Texas. I have been a student of music for my entire life some formal education and mostly filled with life experience. My musical influences include aAretha Franklin and Ami DiFranco and I also enjoy songwriting and production. My teaching style can best be described as informal and based in real world experience. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I think music lives inside us and heals us when released. In my lessons, you can expect to learn song preparation for performance, recording techniques, stage presence, finding your unique voice. I like to tell my students be brave and unforgettable. My favorite thing about teaching is the community of artists that I have met doing this. My favorite performance was New York City Lincoln Center. My students love that I love music so much and often sing along with them. I primarily teach songwriting, but I can also teach picking the right songs for your voice.
