Taylor D.

Tayloris a singer-songwriter from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her signature sound comes from a variety of genres, including R&B, neo-soul, pop, and jazz. Some of her influences include Jazmine Sullivan, Whitney Houston, D’Angelo, and Jill Scott. Taylor began singing at the age of six and slowly fell in love with music in the years that followed. She picked up the saxophone at ten years old and learned piano, clarinet, and guitar along the way. The National YoungArts Winner later competed in honor bands, choirs, and festivals throughout the United States in high school. By age sixteen, she was fully composing and producing original songs. In 2017, Taylor accepted a full scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where she graduated in 2021. There, she studied under Grammy Award-winning musical director, Rob Lewis (Toni Braxton and Brian McKnight), Tia Fuller (Beyoncé), Gabrielle Goodman (Chaka Khan and Roberta Flack), and songwriter-producer Swagg R’Celious Harris (H.E.R. and Elle Varner). Taylor won the Berklee Voice Department’s Outstanding Performer Award in 2019. She has even gotten to sing in front of icons like Missy Elliot, Sylvia Rhone (Epic Records), Chaka Khan, and backing vocals for Dee Dee Bridgewater and The Eagles. Taylor received her TV debut in 2023 and landed a Top 24 contestant spot on NBC's The Voice Season 24, where she was praised by John Legend as the “best soul singer” of the blind auditions.​
