With a natural passion for music from a very early age, Yousuf was introduced to the guitar at the age of 4. He began taking lessons at the age of 7 during his 3 years living in Indonesia. Although he stopped taking lessons at the age of 10 as a result of moving to another country, his talented teacher Mr. Teguh had successfully laid the foundation for Yousuf to be able to develop his skills on his own. For the last 15 years and counting, Yousuf has refined his abilities as a guitarist. He admits he isn’t as good as his musical idols in Slash and Eric Clapton, but nevertheless prides himself on being an adept guitar player with a lot to offer as a performer and a teacher. You can expect a determined and creative teacher in Yousuf who understands that learning an instrument requires patience and dedication from the teacher and student. For him, the most important aspect of teaching an instrument is to cultivate the passion in the student that he has for the instrument and that will be his primary goal. What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Learning a new instrument requires time, patience and dedication. I will practice all three and encourage my students to do the same by being as accommodating as possible. My first objective is to understand and establish clear goals that the students is trying to achieve. Secondly: to build a relationship with the student that makes them feel comfortable and keen to learn and persist through the challenges of learning a new instrument. Finally, I will routinely check with the student to make sure they feel progress is being made and that we both have the same understanding of what it is we are working towards and how.

High School graduate Currently completing undergraduate studies
Performing Experience:
10 years of performing experience at school shows, open mics and private events
Experience Teaching:
2 years of teaching close friends and relatives of ages as young as 8 and as old as 22
