hi, i’m cate — a los angeles–based singer, songwriter, and recording artist with a b.a. in music (music production & vocal performance) from occidental college. music has been at the center of my life for as long as i can remember, and i’ve been lucky enough to turn it into both my passion and profession. as a signed recording artist with green tea distribution (in partnership with mind of a genius), i’ve written, recorded, and performed original music across genres — from soulful pop and indie to cinematic ballads and r&b. my work has taken me into some of l.a.’s most creative studios, where i collaborate with producers, musicians, and engineers to bring songs to life. as an instructor, i bring that same creative energy and professionalism into my lessons. i know what it takes to develop a voice that’s both technically strong and uniquely expressive, and i love helping students find their own sound. i teach with the belief that every voice is different — and that’s what makes music exciting. whether you’re preparing for auditions, building confidence for the stage, or just want to sing for the joy of it, i’m here to give you the tools, techniques, and encouragement to grow as a vocalist and an artist.
