Hi, my name is Donovan, and I am a percussionist from Harrisburg, PA. I have been a student of music for 14 years. My musical influences include Art Blakey, Fred Hammond, John Coltrane, and De La Soul. My teaching style can best be described as exploratory. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I try to meet my students where they are and tailor my lessons around their current playing ability and their musical interests. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the basic and advanced techniques to play around the drums and how to apply them to your own musical tastes. My favorite performance was with Immanuel Wilkins.
