About Me
Andrew P is an emerging artist playing alto saxophone while actively composing, teaching and performing in his own jazz groups, as well as in rock/commercial settings across PA, NJ, and NYC.
Andrew is also a member of the Lehigh Valley based rock band, The Peter Johann Band. They have played extensively throughout the bar scene in the area, as well as weddings and private functions. Last year, he was nominated for a Lehigh Valley Music Award for his work with them.
Andrew began studying Piano at age 6, Saxophone at age 9 and flute and clarinet immediately following. He has had the privilege to study jazz/classical performance and theory with Ralph Bowen, Stanley Cowell, Mike Richmond, & Joe Magnarelli from Rutgers University, as well as Dick Oatts, Terrell Stafford at Temple University and Neil Wetzel from Moravian College.
Andrew's most recent musical project is modern jazz group entitled Alignment. Their first recorded album will be released Spring '13.

Andrew P. is proficient in and teaches Orchestral Lessons .Formal Education:
From 2010-2012 I attended Rutgers University for Jazz Performance. In the fall of this year, I transferred to Temple University's Music program, and I Graduated in the Spring of 2014.
Private Education:
At Rutgers University, I had the opportunity to study privately with Ralph Bowen for two years, and I am currently studying with Dick Oatts at Temple. In the Lehigh Valley area, where I am originally from, I have studied with Lonnie Pereira since age 9, as well as occasionally with Neil Wetzel.
