6 Years
Toshiro began playing guitar at the age of 12. Over the years, he developed his skills further by playing in his highschools worship team, jazz ensemble and theater performances and attending Berklee College of Music in Boston. He gained performance experience in the California area by playing at such venues as Whiskey A-Go-Go in Hollywood. Though Toshiro can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are classic rock, and metal which had great influence on his style of playing. Toshiro loves music because it's universal language anyone can relate to and loves teaching music because it helps build confidence, express emotion and helps people grow. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, Toshiro can help you expand and enhance your playing. Toshiro is excited to learn how he can help you reach your musical goals. Formal Education:
I have taught in formal classroom settings, where I created and followed structured lesson plans designed to build strong fundamentals in guitar technique, music theory, and performance. I’m experienced in managing group dynamics, keeping students engaged, and ensuring each student progresses within a structured curriculum
Private Education:
I also have extensive experience providing private guitar instruction, customizing lessons to fit individual learning styles and personal goals—whether that’s playing for fun, preparing for exams, or developing advanced technical skills
Performing Experience:
Over 10 years performing in diverse settings, including 4 years as worship team lead guitarist, 4 years in jazz ensemble, 4 years leading a rock/metal band, and 3 years accompanying choir. Experienced in professional studio recording, collaboration, and arranging
Experience Teaching:
My approach combines the structure of formal education with the flexibility of private instruction. I focus on building a strong technical foundation while also keeping students motivated by connecting lessons to the music they love
