Cory has always loved music from an early age. He began playing drums at the age of 4 and continued his education by drum lessons, independent practice, and several instructors in school. His musical influences include Mike Portnoy, Buddy Rich, and Travis Barker. Cory's favorite thing about music is performing and his favorite thing about teaching music is watching the joy in people when they figure out a part or a song. One of his favorite teaching experiences was watching a student learn their music for a school show and seeing how much joy it brought them.
