Sophia began playing violin at the age of 4. Over the years, she developed her skills further by playing in orchestras, extracurricular ensembles, and personal gigs. She gained performance experience in the classical/traditional orchestra field area by playing at such venues as SWRO. Though Sophia can teach many different genres of music, her musical personal favorites are classical, folk, and rock, which had great influence on her style of playing. She has also performed 5 times with world class performer Mark Wood. Sophia loves music because it has been a constant positive force in her life, and a source of happiness. She loves teaching music because giving kids the ability to find joy in a productive way is important.
