My name is Lynne and have lived in this area 45 years. I taught piano, voice and guitar 25 of 29 years between 1976 and 2005. Since June 2023 I have one student in Bedford. I received my BA from Arizona State University in 1976 and have performed and done accompanying in UIL very heavily as well as churches. I have sung and played solos in churches also. I played various kinds of gigs from wedding ceremonies/receptions, Christmas/New Year's parties and anniversaries. My teaching philosophy is that the students own what they learn at the lessons and make it fun!

What to expect in my Keyboard and Piano Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Would want to get to know students and they get to know me for us to be comfortable. If I am teaching a minor child, I would be okay to have a parent sit in, actually in all subsequent lessons.Figure out what level they are and also let them have fun playing around playing by ear, exploring different sounds on electric keyboards. What kind of music do they want to play.
Formal Education:
Received BA from Arizona State University in 1976. I received a BA in Music Therapy with a minor in Piano Performance. Went to Texas Women's University 1 receiving 9 credits towards an MA in Piano Pedagogy.
Private Education:
Started to take piano when I was 7 years old all the way through college. Also took piano from Dr.Thomas Ungar 1 as well as accompanying music the end of both semesters.
Performing Experience:
Have played piano and sung in churches solos and been in choirs singing since high school, through college on a regular basis until late 2020or2021. Played various types of gigs i.e. weddings, wedding receptions, a few restaurants evening as well as a lot of Band Solo and Ensemble in various school districts in early 1980's-early 1990's. Played for summer theater program at TCC-NE in 1999, did some accompanying at TCC-SE and at TCC-NE was in Northwest Passage Jazz Group singing alto. All of this was 1 school year.
Experience Teaching:
Have taught piano, voice and guitar, the last one not teaching anymore 25 years between 1976 and 2005.
