I have over 20 years of experience teaching guitar, being a musical mentor to other musicians. I am also a drummer, bass player and performer. My formal education is from Berklee College and Five Towns Music School. My instructional style focuses greatly on developing each individuals understanding of music theory, and applying those concepts in a practical manner, creating custom lesson plans for students, young and old alike, teaching students how to read music, about tempo and technique, and advising them on proper equipment purchases for their level. It is important to note that music is not only a discipline, but also an art form that needs individualized attention. I want every student to realize his or her own creative abilities and enjoy the outcome of their own creative force. I have also specialized in teaching students with disabilities (i.e., Asperger’s, high functioning autism, as well as some types of physically handicapped students). I have taught from ages six on up to older adults. I also have experience in teaching clinics and/or groups. My greatest motivation is to inspire my students to excel stems from my extensive musical background, live performance, and my own desire to succeed in the lifelong study in the art of music.

What to expect in my Guitar Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
How I approach teaching, my method, and my particular preferences in teaching : • To apply practical approach of the fret board, starting with basic chords and basic theory determined by age of student. • C scales open first position and on to traditional fingerings. • Triads on all string sets, while forming the teacher student bond. • Philosophy is based on a non - intimidating style. I believe when an instructor tries to intimidate a student into studying and developing the discipline, the student will eventually lose his desire to work at his or her craft. • Patience is the key to teaching and being available to the student is just as important to the relationship .

Music is my passion. For over 30 years, I have been a professional dedicated musician, creating bands, touring and creating original music. I play various genres of music; classic hard rock, blues, jazz, to name a few, however my specialty is creating original songs in compositional rock and blues. I have played with such names as Walter Becker from Steely Dan, world-class guitarist and instrumentalist Rob Balducci, currently signed by Steve Vai's record label Favored Nations, Randy Coven bass player and instrumentalist featured on several full-length albums including Yngwie Malmsteen, John McLaughlin, Leslie West of Mountain, and various others.
