About Me
Blake began playing the flute in fourth grade and had two instructors in elementary and middle shcool. His instructor in college instilled in him the power of imagery and of an intentional approach to sound production. A mathematics appreciator, Blake has tutored sixth grade concepts and multi-variable calculus. He directed a musical in college for which he incorporated warm-ups and teachings based in gymnastics, Linklater, and yoga. He is self-taught in piano for 4 years now and wrote a musical which was performed by his collegiate student-led theatre group. He is excited to share his experience and freedom in practicing music through instruction. He wishes to free musicians' musuclature for sound production, particularly with voice and flute. He also aims to unite the whole student-self and the instrument. He has experience as a theatrical performer for 9 years, including professional and academic theatre.
