Kenniya found an interest in music at the age of 4 years old. Over the years, she developed her skills further by practicing vocal exercises, joining school poetry clubs, musicals, singing and performing with organizations like DC Scores and even taking writing development classes in junior high school. She gained performance experience in the DMV area by performing at such venues such as Studio Theatre, RFK Stadium, Busboys and Poets, local high schools and more with acts such as singing a lead role her Freshman year of high school in the musical “In The Heights”. Though Kenniya can teach many different things involving music, her musical personal favorites are R&B and Rap which had great influence on her style of singing/songwriting. Kenniya loves music because music is therapeutic and loves teaching music because music became healing and peace which she would love to share with others.
