About Me

Hello! My name is Megan, and I have been a voice and piano instructor for over 5 years consistently. I began my music studies when I was 7 playing the violin. I quickly fell in love with choir and orchestra and did very well in my early education. I decided to go to school for Music Education and Vocal Performance at Eastman School of Music. After 2 years of double majoring, I decided to focus on my vocal and language studies and return to Music Education in the future. I attended CCM of my Masters and quickly launched into a full-time operatic career. I have sung lead roles at major opera houses in the States including Cincinnati Opera. My training beyond my Bachelor and Master degrees includes being an Apprentice Artist at both Palm Beach Opera and Santa Fe Opera. In 2022 I earned a tenured position with the Norwegian National Opera in Oslo, Norway. While the experience was absolutely amazing, it did not seem like my forever home logistically. I moved back to Cincinnati a year ago and have been teaching in Batesville, Indiana for a year. I currently teach 35 students weekly Monday-Thursday, but am looking to adding students during my off-time. I have both online and in person students and am very comfortable and experienced in both lesson types. I feel that my experience as a performer and my music education experience in undergrad has led me to be a successful teacher while combining my love for performing and teaching.
