Charlie's musical journey began at age five with the drums and guitar. He refined his skills at Stony Brook University and earned a performance degree from the Aaron Copland School of Music. He’s since gained extensive performance experience in New York City, playing at iconic venues like CBGB and the Bowery Ballroom, and with groups like the New York Philharmonic. While Charlie teaches many styles, his personal favorites—Jazz, West African, and Afro-Cuban music—heavily influence his playing. He loves teaching because he believes music is a universal language that can help build your brain! Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, Charlie is ready to help you reach your musical goals.
