As a teacher, I enjoy working through all the technical and artistic challenges that the piano, and classical music, have to offer. I approach each moment with intention and see every note as an offering, every phrase a conversation. I’m there to guide you and also explore alongside you! ​ In lessons we will work on: – Expanding your dynamic range – Exploring musical character through articulation – Establishing a stable sense of rhythm that you can rely on – Playing with ease and using your body in a way that feels good ​ And so much more! ​ There are many technical aspects to playing the piano, but too often technique is confused with mechanics or playing as fast as possible. Technique, however, is the means to transmit a musical speech. Music has taught me that we don’t just perform for the sake of sound—we perform to move hearts, to calm anxious minds, to give voice to what can’t be spoken.
