Mason E.
Guitar Lessons, Bass Guitar Lessons, Drum Lessons, Vocal Lessons, Song Writing Lessons
7 Years
Everything is a drum and the universe is in 1/1 Though my musical ear began development before birth, my formal training began at age 11 with the viola. Not too long after, I picked up the guitar and joined a local jazz combo learning standards and gypsy jazz. over the years I've expanded my toolkit with vocals, drums, keys, audio production and luthiery. In my current project, I play bass in AAA level band and fun playing music I love with people I love I'm also quite interested in studying acupuncture and eastern medicine, and enjoy creative technologies and immersive art
Mason E. has over 7 years of music experience in the Ashland area.
Mason E. is proficient in and teaches Guitar Lessons, Bass Guitar Lessons, Drum Lessons, Vocal Lessons, Song Writing Lessons .Formal Education:
I was fortunate enough to start a business a few months out of highschool, but while I was attending, I would do my regular requirements online so i had more space for music classes. this meant starting with a zero hour classes at 6am, squeezing in orchestra, big band, combo, theory, performance, percussion ensemble, 2 choirs, then after school with marching band, another chorus, and my personal project. then doing all my classes online into the night
Private Education:
I have taken in person and online classes with the legendary Suzie Collier, Kimbra, Luther Mallory and many more. I have been an apprentice under luthiers, tech wizards recording engineers big and small. Hoping to work further with grammy winning engineer Ian Rickard
Performing Experience:
My first time on stage was a revelatory experience. From my coy picking in the practice room to owning my whole presence, authority and, offering I have been on stages like the Britt and WOW hall and I've been on sidewalks in the middle of a foreign country. When you're in tune with yourself, it's all equally healing
Experience Teaching:
I've been teaching music theory, production, technique, and expression since i began learning myself. When I received my first viola, I was a week later than the kids in class. I read and finished the whole book as I thought it was the required reading. I also didn't ever have the need for guide tapes (my orchestra nerds get how hard that is for the average beginner, let alone an 11 year old) I had-and still have-an affinity for collecting and sharing information that I find valuable. I also love working with special needs kids as I and my whole family are autistic with a wide range of support needs
