About Me

Hi, my name is Miguel and I am a guitar player from South Florida! I have been a student of music for a little over 10 years. My musical influences include the blues and I also enjoy classic rock, as well as some technically challenging music shredding, if you'd like. My teaching style can best be described as solution focused; I enjoy identifying weak points in order to improve, as well as encouraging students to lean on their natural strengths. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying that I emphasize understanding material. In my lessons, you can expect to learn the foundations of soloing and rhythm guitar. I like to tell my students practice how you perform, perform how you practice. My favorite thing about teaching is witnessing the joy from student that comes from skill mastery. My favorite performance was a Trans-Siberian Orchestra cover for a Christmas Concert. My students love that I am able to meet them at their level of understanding, and go from there.
