Christopher began playing trumpet at the age of 12. Over the years, he developed his skills further by continuing in band and joining all available ensembles through middle school and high school. He continued with his passion by pursuing a music education degree at Northern Illinois University. He gained performance experience in the DeKalb/Sycamore area by playing at such venues as the Boutell Memorial Hall and the Egyptian Theatre and with acts such as the NIU Philharmonic, DeKalb Municipal Band, and Kishwaukee Symphony Orchestra. Though Christopher can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are classic rock and orchestral which had great influence on his style of playing. Christopher loves music because there are so many unique ways t express yourself through music and loves teaching music because it is a place for all to be involved. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned professional, Christopher can help you expand and enhance your playing. Christopher is excited to learn how he can help you reach your musical goals.
