About Me

Hi! My name is Aaron and I’m a saxophone player and multi-instrumentalist from Boise, Idaho. I’ve been playing music for 20 years, got my bachelor’s degree in music performance, and I moved to Music City to get more gigs than I got in my small home city. I’ve played all different genres; country, rock, classical, jazz, and even some Persian/Turkish fusion, but rock has to be my favorite. When it comes to lessons, my preferred style is a laid back approach, allowing the student to express interests to me and bringing them into the lessons. I like to find what styles they prefer and hone in on those so the student has more incentive to practice. If need be, I can also do a more structured curriculum for those who just don’t know where to start. No matter which approach, fundamentals are always going to be a big emphasis. My favorite part about teaching is seeing the students grow and get excited about music! I really love working with students who are excited to learn! My students really that I can focus on improv in various genres, and it’s a ton of fun to see them grow as soloists! I primarily teach Saxophone, but I also play guitar and piano, and can teach them to people looking to get a start on those instruments.
