Hello, my name is Brooke and I have been playing percussion for 17 years. I started in marching band on cymbals, and made my way to bass, and then snare drum. I bought a drum set and am mostly self-taught. I have played in jazz bands in high school and college. I have also been a part of several bands in the Orlando area, doing original music and covers. I have had the opportunity to play a festival with one of those bands at The Beacham in 2018. I am great at improv, writing drum parts, and I have taught private lessons in the past. I am a very energetic and open minded person, who tackles teaching in the way that you/your child needs. Not everyone learns things the same way. I am extremely patient, and can go over anything that is needed over and over again. I can break things down in a way that you can understand, whether it be writing it down, or talking it out. I also do not have a genre preference when it comes to music, as I really do like to play everything. Pop and 90s rock are my thing, but I’m open to anything. I can teach the absolute basics or a full song. I also have a degree in Audio Engineering, and I record/mix/master constantly.
