Jhon began playing trumpet at the age of 4, first learning from his father, who was his earliest teacher. Over the years, he developed his skills further by studying classical music at the conservatory and later graduating from Berklee College of Music. He gained performance experience internationally by sharing the stage with artists such as Gilberto Santa Rosa, and he has also been recognized by musicians like Juan Luis Guerra on social media. Though Jhon can teach many different genres of music, his personal favorites are jazz and Afro-Caribbean styles, which have had a strong influence on his playing. Jhon loves music because it has always been his way of expressing emotions and connecting with people, and he loves teaching music because he enjoys helping others discover their own voice through their instrument.
