Emily Jo is a coloratura soprano from Atlanta, Georgia, renowned for her versatility across a range of lighthearted and dramatic roles. She made her operatic debut in the spring of 2022 as one of the Due Donne in KSU Opera Theater's production of Le nozze di Figaro. Since then, has captivated audiences as Adele in Die Fledermaus, Celie in Signor Deluso, and Pernille in The Beautiful Bridegroom. Most recently, she was the soprano soloist in the KSU CAC’s performance of Saint-Saëns’ Oratorio de Noël, showcasing her expressive range. In the summer of 2024, made her international debut, performing the role of Donna Anna in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Don Giovanni in Cesena, Italy, where her performance received praise for its sensitivity and expressiveness. She is also a recipient of the third-place award in the 7B-2 category at the 2024 Georgia NATS competition. is well-versed in various genres, including musical theater, pop, country, and jazz, having performed in venues across the globe, including working with broadway stars in New York, the Fox Theater in Atlanta, and cathedrals and arena across Italy. Additionally, she has participated in masterclasses with notable vocalists and coaches Stephanie Blythe, Giovanni Reggioli, and Richard Dixon, further honing her craft. Currently pursuing her bachelor's in vocal performance with a minor in Italian studies at Kennesaw State University, is also a recipient of the 2024 ArtsKSU Gala Scholarship and the Acworth Cultural Arts Endowed Scholarship. As a dedicated teacher, she adapts her instruction to the interests and goals of each student, fostering a supportive environment for growth and exploration in music.
