Hi, my name is Tanya and I am a Pacific Islander born and raised on the beautiful island of Guam, I am 36 years young and have been an huge lover of music since I was only 2years old. My musical influences are all based on REAL LIFE EXPERIENCES and hardships of struggle, to inspire and teach my stuďents to take all of their ANGER, their SADNESS, their HAPPINESS, and Their LONELINESS and teach them all how to CHANNEL all of that into their very own ORIGINAL MUSIC. My teaching style can be best described as a ORIGINALITY AT ITS FINEST!! Growing up as a kid, MY LIFE and my SPIRIT had fell into darkness because of a particular predicament that was forced to take place in my life, LET ALONE what was being done to me while I was 11 years old at the time. Yes. I fell into DEEP DARKNESS where i was already having thoughts of suicide of ending my own life. But then one day, out of the blue, i just had this crave of being able to MAKE SURE I had accomplish something that was worth recognizing by at least half of the entire world, then out of no where my best friend since the first grade brings her guitar to school to present it as her show and tell, is when i knew that i was in love with the whole instrument as itself. Not to mention the beautiful harmonies and angel-like melodic echos from just strumming the strings without it being pressed down on, had made me realize what it was that i needed to do to get myself out from that darkness forever, amd that was to learn how to play the basic chords on a beginners acoustic nylon string guitar. Attempted to try to learn the actual music notes and whatnot but it just wasnt working out for me, So what i ended up doing and still do up to this day, is id watch someone else play the right chords to a good particular song for about 10-15 minutes, and would remember all of the chords, notes, fretts, and keys to MASTER learning how to play that particular song just the it is being played on radio.I like to tell my students what it was that i had to go through as a kid, so that they can always know that, i myself is not perfect, that i am understanding to whatever it is theywould have to throw at me. And to basically make sure they know that THEY WILL NEVER BE ALONE IN ANYTHING in their LIVES AS LONG AS THEY HAVE ME AND I AM BY THEIR SIDE learning all about them as they will with me. To have them to ALWAYS USE THEIR MUSIC CHANNELING EVERYTHING as a safe way to AVOID ALL UNEXPECTED ISSUES, DILEMMAS, CONSEQUENCES AND PREDICAMENTS that means to put them in harms way or be in a prison cell for a long time and/or in a very expensive coffin box!
