Maxwell began playing guitar at the age of 5. Over the years, he developed his skills further by gaining a bachelors degree from the Berklee College of Music. He gained performance experience in the Boston and Los Angeles areas by playing at such venues as the Hotel Cafe. Though Maxwell can teach many different genres of music, his musical personal favorites are folk, pop, and jazz which had great influence on his style of playing. Maxwell loves music because it gives us each a way of expressing ourselves and loves teaching music because it gives him the ability to teach another language.
