Hi, my name is Carissia and I am a Voice Teacher from Houston, Texas! I have been a student of music since early childhood, and studied music education at the University of Texas at Austin. My musical influences include classical, theatre, and pop, but I enjoy all genres of music! My teaching style can best be described as kinesthetic, demonstrative, and relaxed. My teaching philosophy is curating a comfortable environment where we can have an open dialogue about what you're feeling, and what you like and dislike. I want you to feel your best through strong technique! In my lessons, you can expect to learn breath support, style, sound placement, and much more. I like to tell my students every singer is different! We will find what works for you. My favorite thing about teaching is making a connection with my students and seeing my students make musical connections! I love aha moments. My students love that I am relaxed and encouraging.
