Amaya began singing at the age of 5 in her great grandmother's living room. Over the years, she developed her skills further by performing professionally since the age 10 when she made her Broadway debut in Annie. She gained performance experience through her studying with various professional vocal coaches in New York City for over 12 years area and work whether it be on Broadway or touring across the country in different musicals. Though Amaya can teach many different genres of music, her musical personal favorites are musical theatre which had great influence on her style of playing. Amaya loves music because it allows her to express herself beyond words and loves teaching music because of the joy it brings to each individual.
