I began learning how to play music in grade school. My first instrument was clarinet. I was taught the basics of musical notation treble clef staff, and basic rhythm notation. I was awarded a blue ribbon for a solo clarinet recital. In middle school I began to learn the alto saxophone. Toward the end of middle school I picked up playing guitar, and once I discovered how much I preferred the guitar I decided to master that instrument. I have been playing guitar both acoustic and electric for 23 years. I know how to sing and play at the same time, and I have much experience playing and singing in bands and solo performances. I have written many songs, and I understand the basics of music theory. I have much to offer someone trying to learn how to play the guitar and better understand how music is played in general. I can also teach the bass guitar, the ukulele, and how to sing.
