Hi students! I am a currently preforming drum-set player and studying audio engineer ready to share my knowledge! I have been preforming in front of audiences on drums since I was 12 years old and playing the Denver scene for the last 3 years. I started on drumline as a high-schooler and that has strongly influenced my abilities as a musician and a drummer today. Being mostly self-taught I have been a tried-and-true lover and learner of drum-set for about 6 years! I am excited to share what I can for new, intermediate and even advanced drummers!

What to expect in my Drum Lessons
Beginner - Intermediate
Starting with basic fundamentals and technique tailored to the players goals, lessons will start with rudimentary warm-ups and skill building exercises (Moeller technique, Stick control, kick pedal technique, etc.) After adequate warm up time, we will tackle either on-going material as provided from previous lessons (song material, grooves, excerpts), or approach new concept or technique to build on pre-existing repertoire. As the lesson goes on, as many questions as possible are encouraged from the student and we can explore in any direction that keeps interest during the lesson! (Your favorite music, what is linear drumming?, etc.) Lastly, to conclude a lesson we will enter a "chop-out" exercise to tax the drumming muscles to increase overall strength and endurance in drumming and we will finish with a warm down!
Formal Education:
1.5 years in Music Audio Technology 2.5 years in Atmospheric Science and Physics
Private Education:
3 years of WGI 1 year of DCI
Performing Experience:
7 years in Orchestral Percussion, 4 years in Marching Drumline, 2 Years in Jazz/Funk and 3 years in Denver Music Scene and Touring the US
Experience Teaching:
As a upper-class student in high school I taught in groups or 1 on 1 style (2 years), and as a freshman in college taught in 1 on 1s (1 year).
