Hi, my name is Avery and I am a Vocalist, Dancer, and percussionist from Jacksonville, Fl. I have been a student of music for years and studied music at Florida A&M University. My musical influences include Luther Vandross, Brandy, and Durrand Bernar and I also enjoy watching collegiate bands and percussion performances. My teaching style can best be described as hard working fun. We will enjoy ourselves but we are going to get work done. My teaching philosophy can best be described by saying I will be a star. In my lessons, you can expect to learn how to use your voice, how to trust your body, and knowing your fundamentals. I like to tell my students stand out but stay humble. My favorite thing about teaching is watching the growth of my students. My favorite performance was opening up for the city girls with the marching 100, and singing background for different artists. My students love that I am understanding but strict. I primarily teach voice and dance, but I can also teach percussion. My approach as a teacher is to be better than we were yesterday.
