About Me
RAIN is a powerhouse singer, songwriter, and performer from Bronx/Jamaica, New York. With a voice that commands attention and emotion, she’s been captivating audiences since the age of ten. Rain’s artistry blends soulful depth with raw energy, earning her spots on prestigious stages and in major film and video productions. She has shared the stage with some of music’s most iconic names — including Salt-N-Pepa, 2 Live Crew, Zulu Nation, Poor Righteous Teachers, Guru, The Persuaders, and the legendary Isaac Hayes. She’s performed at some of New York City’s most respected venues — from Nell’s and Soul Café in Manhattan to the Sugar Shack in Harlem, Sinner & Saint in Long Island, and the African Poetry Theater in Queens. Rain has also performed for audiences at Rikers Island, honoring the resilience of those within the correctional community. Her on-screen presence has been just as dynamic. Rain has appeared in music videos for Boyz II Men and The Transitions (produced by the world-renowned Michael Bivins). Her film credits include performing the James Brown classic “It’s a Man’s World” and her original song “Lay Me Down” on the soundtrack for How To Be a Player. Music runs deep in Rain’s roots. She comes from a legendary musical family — her parents and uncle co-wrote the timeless hit “Thin Line Between Love and Hate” by The Persuaders, and have collaborated with artists such as Jay-Z, Will Smith, The Pretenders, and Annie Lennox. She’s also the sister of acclaimed music video director Zodiac Fishgrease. Currently, Rain is back in the studio, crafting a brand-new project that blends soul, hip-hop, and contemporary R&B into a sound uniquely her own. With her powerful vocals, authentic storytelling, and undeniable stage presence, Rain is ready to claim her place as one of the defining voices of her generation.

Private Education:

To whom it may concern| My name is Diamond Nelson a student of Ebony _ I am writing this referral letter regarding my vocal coach Ebony _. Without a doubt there are countless lessons Ebony taught me that were necessary and beneficial to the improvement of my vocal skills. I would like to start with acknowledging the breathing exercises… Ebony taught me the importance in breath control and good conditioning. The breathing exercises consist of holding your breath for long vocal expansion capabilities. However, I learned piano vocal exercises where I do pacific routines and practices on the keyboard that could consist of humming or doing certain sounds that mimics the sounds of the keys on the keyboard. In addition to the statement I just made I also acquired concepts regarding piano Scales such as major scales, the pentatonic scales, blues scales, a major flat scale, Chromatic scale and so on. I also want to express that Ebony taught me the techniques of each piano scale and gave me guiding examples and in-depth demonstrations reflecting how those scales should be perceived and accurately attained. While I was participating in the lessons given to me by Ebony I saw results that was advancing my development in my vocal abilities. For example, I became trained to do methods useful when song recording and performing that impacted and escalated my musical talents this gave me the confidence every student should get from a teacher. Furthermore, Ebony as a vocal teacher is extremely influential and effective she has experience to guarantee success in any artist development therefore I would highly recommend her to any musical intuitions Thank you. Diamond Nelson
