About Me
Hey hey! My name is Nellie, and I’m an avid music enthusiast and pianist of over 10 years. Throughout my music career, I’ve played at countless competitions nationally, played local rock gigs in the Chicago area, and studied with some of the greatest piano instructors in the United States. I’m a very versatile teacher who specializes in teaching children and pre teens, but I’m happy to work with any age. I have over 12 years of formal training in music theory and piano performance. I teach both classical and some jazz/rock, so we can play whatever you want to learn!

12 years of theory and performance training through the ISMTA Achievement in Music Program, graduated with distinction
Private Education:
Studied under teacher Adam Chlastawa for over 12 years, along with instruction from Dr Natalie Landowski, Dr Adam Neiman, and Dr Chee Hyeon Choi.
Performing Experience:
Performed classical repertoire at various small and large venues, for audiences ranging from 10 to 500+ people. Played at smaller local gigs with rock repertoire both as a soloist and in a band at over 30 shows from 2019 to 2024.
Experience Teaching:
Primarily experienced with teaching K-8 children who are beginners. Taught for 3 years doing private/semiprivate lessons in both classical and rock music. Spent multiple summers at various music summer camps teacher small groups of children how to play as a band.
